Former UFO bassist Pete Way says he's grateful for all the "amazing support" he's received since revealing that he's battling prostate cancer.

The rocker says in a Facebook post that he's "absolutely knocked out" by the well wishes and prayers from fans, and he no longer feels like he's facing the disease on his own.  He adds that while he's "not the sort of man who cries," he "must admit to shedding a tear" after reading all those kind words.

Way opened up about his diagnosis to "Classic Rock" magazine earlier this week.  He said he felt "lucky" because doctors caught the cancer early, and that he's "determined to beat it."
