Over the weekend there were reports coming out of the Dominican Republic that are not shining favorably on Minnesota Twins third baseman Miguel Sano.
According to the reports, Sano ran over a police officer in his vehicle after being told to pull over. It's being called a "hit and run" incident for which Sano has been arrested and remains in a Dominican jail.
the Twins have released a statement in regards to the incident.
According to KSTP the report reads as follows...
"The Minnesota Twins have been made aware of the situation involving Miguel Sano in the Dominican Republic. The facts of the incident are not completely available right now but the club is in the process of gathering as much information as possible. We will have no further comment at this time."
