Heroic Eagles Fan Mocks Nelson Agholor After Saving Babies From A Fire

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor did not have a great first half against the Detroit Lions on Sunday (September 22). He dropped a few passes and had a fumble in the Eagles 27-24 loss to the Lions.

Agholor was called on his poor play by an Eagles fan who had just helped rescue babies from a burning building.

Former firefighter Hakim Laws rushed to help after he noticed a residential building was on fire. While first responders were inside trying to evacuate the residents, Laws and his friends grabbed a ladder from the fire truck and started helping people trapped inside.

"I see a guy hanging out the window screaming that his kids was in there, things like that. So I ran to the back door to see if it was open and it was. I ran upstairs, and I was greeted with smoke. I ran back downstairs. By that time the ladder truck was pulling up," Laws told KYW-TV reporter Steve Lindsay at the scene. "My man just started throwing babies out the window, and we was catching them, unlike Agholor."

When Agholor heard about Laws' comments, he decided to honor the Good Samaritan and offered him tickets to an upcoming game.

"Thank you for being a hero in the community, would like to invite you and your family to the next home game. Twitter help me out and get me in touch with him," Agholor wrote on Twitter.

The Eagles next home game will be on October 6, when they host the New York Jets. Hopefully, Agholor will get to meet with Laws beforehand and get some pointers about how to hold onto the ball.
