7 Inches or More of New Snow Expected for Rochester Tomorrow

posted by Big Mark Clark -

You didn't think we were actually done with the snow did you?  Of course not.  It is only a matter of time, here in Minnesota, that we are reminded by mother nature of where we live and who is in charge.  So gas up your snow blower and keep your snow shovel handy, you will need it!

URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI

1056 AM CST MON JAN 23 2017

...ACCUMULATING SNOW RETURNS TUESDAY AFTERNOON INTO WEDNESDAY...

.ACCUMULATING SNOW IS SET TO SPREAD ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA

TUESDAY AFTERNOON INTO WEDNESDAY. THIS SNOWFALL MAY IMPACT BOTH

THE TUESDAY EVENING AND WEDNESDAY MORNING COMMUTES. THE EXPECTED

WET NATURE OF SNOW...ESPECIALLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON...IS LIKELY TO

RESULT IN ROADS QUICKLY BECOMING SLIPPERY AND HAZARDOUS.

AT THIS TIME...THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR 4 TO 7 OF SNOW ACROSS

MUCH OF THE AREA FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY

MORNING...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

WITH TEMPERATURES TUESDAY AFTERNOON EXPECTED TO BE IN THE MIDDLE

TO UPPER 30S...THE PRECIPITATION LOOKS TO START OUT AS A PERIOD

OF RAIN AND THEN CHANGE TO SNOW AS TEMPERATURES COOL INTO TUESDAY

EVENING. DEPENDING ON HOW QUICKLY THE PRECIPITATION CHANGES

COMPLETELY TO SNOW AND THE TEMPERATURE WHEN THIS OCCURS...SNOW

TOTALS COULD EASILY BE MORE THAN THE CURRENT FORECAST.
