The National Weather Service in Lacrosse released it's official recordings of wind speeds for this morning. For our area, Zumbro Falls topped the list at a whopping 60 miles per hours at 4:37am this morning. All around the region we have seen unusually high wind speeds.
For example: Rochester International Airport reported 55mph winds at 8:23 am, Kasson was at 55mph and Dexter was 53mph. The most interesting wind report was from the Mayo Clinic Helicopter pad. Wind speeds of 67mph were recorded there at 7:53am.
It seems like the windiest days always fall on trash day for me. I have already had neighbors trash cans and trash blow into my yard along with a snow sled. I guess that would be considered a bonus.
