The first ever Oscar Mayer Wienermobile was introduced in Chicago back in 1936 and has been cruising the Hot Dog Highways of America ever since. Today, there are currently six Wienermobile vehicles crisscrossing the United States, and they’re all located in different regions nationwide.

Each Wienermobile is staffed by two Hotdoggers. What is a Hotdogger you may ask? They are recent college graduates on a one-year assignment to travel all around the country visiting special events like parades and festivals and retail venues like grocery stores. Their ultimate goal is to spread miles of smiles, create magical lifelong memories and hand out their iconic Oscar Mayer Wiener Whistles. Over 1,000 individuals apply for this position but only 12 of us are selected.

Each Wienermobile averages about 500 miles a week contingent on their whereabouts. The Wienermobile is 11 feet high and 27 feet long which equates to 24 hot dogs high and 60 hot dogs long.
