As free agency heats up, The Minnesota Vikings are leaving nothing to chance when it comes to the QB position. A report from Ian Rapoport says that the Vikings have reached out to Drew Brees' agent. It seems reckless that the Saints have not signed Drew yet and will only make his negotiating power stronger the longer they wait.
Just said on @nflnetwork: The #Vikings have made a call on Drew Brees, per league source. Their plan going into the day was to engage agents for all their QB options. Well, Brees is technically available. No stone unturned.— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) March 12, 2018
If the Saints don't sign Drew Brees to a new deal before Wednesday at 4 PM Eastern, $18M in dead money will count on the team's salary cap for 2018. Plenty of motivation to get a deal done.— Field Yates (@FieldYates) March 12, 2018
