The closer we get to Friday the better understanding we have of exactly how much snow we should see Friday night into Saturday Morning.  Lets take a look at the Winter Storm Watch from the National Weather Service in La Crosse.

...Heavy Snow and Difficult Travel Possible Friday Night into Saturday...

...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Heavy snow is possible. Total snow accumulations of 4  to 8 inches, with localized higher amounts possible. Heaviest   snow totals expected west of a Rochester to Decorah to  Platteville line.
* WHERE...Portions of southwest Wisconsin, northeast Iowa and   southeast Minnesota.
* WHEN...From Friday evening through Saturday morning.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions.   Significant reductions in visibility are possible.

Here is a look at the predicted snowfall amounts for our area.

Of course nothing is exact.  The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has us in the 4-6 inch range which is just fine with us.
