In honor of the 2018 Scripps National Spelling Bee this week, Google has put together a list based on the top searches related to “how to spell” over the last year. Here is the break down for our region:
More Minnesotans wanted to know how to spell: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
In Iowa they need help to spell: Vacuum. Which reminds me of a joke:
Why do all the trees lean south?
Because Iowa sucks and Canada blows!
Wisconsin did not know how to spell: Beautiful which is not suprising after the Packers season last year.
North Dakota needed help spelling: Yacht which seems strange for a state that does not border the ocean.
And last but not least on our regional list is South Dakota. They did not know how to spell: Chaos. My grandfather once told em that "South Dakota is so flat, you can see your dog run away for two weeks." I would say he was a pretty smart man.
