The name of the Wisconsin Concert "Country Thunder" festival struck too close for one woman, who was hit by lightning Saturday night.
22-year-old Brittany Prehn was struck by a lightning bolt in the campground section of the Wisconsin festival after the night's performances had ended. Authorities believe she was talking on her cell phone, but they stress she was doing nothing wrong or unsafe. She was taking shelter under a tent.
Prehn suffered significant burns to her face, and the point of exit for the electricity was her feet -- which blew off one of her shoes completely. As of Sunday afternoon, she was intensive care at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. (ABC 7 Chicago, WISN 12 News)
