According to the Iowa Department of Public Safety, 48 people have gone missing in the last 10 days in Iowa. Residents are scared and on alert. The DPS says the number of people missing is in line with historical numbers. Last year alone over 4,000 people went missing in Iowa. Most of those missing are children and according to the IDPS "The vast majority of which are found or returned home within 24 hours."
