Did You See The Presidential Motorcade Go Through Rochester?

With the President in town, I knew I was going to have to deal with traffic on the way home. I thought I could sneak through and get home, avoiding any major roads but that wasn't the case. I ran into a police office on the overpass, who's truck was blocking the road.

I asked if there was a chance I could just sneak through and of course, he said no. I understand he's got a job to do and I certainly wasn't going to hassle him. So, I pulled my car off to the side of the road and waited with my camera. I knew it wasn't going to be a long wait and how many times do you get to see the Presidential Motorcade in your lifetime? So...I waited.

Other people were not so happy about not being able to get across the overpass. One guy in particular, had a few words with the police. Calling him a "pig" and saying "F the President" and "F The United States of America" and of course, the obligatory, "I pay my F-ing' taxes, man!"

My God, man. It took all of 10 minutes (15 tops) for the motorcade to go through. Get out, snap some pics, do whatever. Just don't be a jerk. Especially to the police officer that's just doing his job. I don't care who the President is. If their motorcade is going by, I'm gonna get some pictures and videos. It was a cool experience.

I did say to the officer, "Sorry you have to deal with people like that." and his response was, "I'm not going to lose any sleep over it." HA! Good on him.

Anyway, check out the video below.
